Earth Heart Hum Part 1
Music, art for that matter has the power to heal. It is an inner voice, a reservoir of creativity that is inexhaustible. Being musical is not about the skill or having extraordinary technical abilities, it is about having an intimate relationship to that urge within everyone to create. Being artistic is a natural state of being. It is taking life itself and giving back to it - a harmony. Earth Heart Hum was born once this realization began to feed everything I created. Every art piece, every song, every poem came from this emanating instinct to create and trust that what comes is a sincere expression of what need be expressed. Art has this power to realign the mind, the inner world into an omnipotent source of creativity. Inspiration appears at first like a godsend and then it becomes a way of living. Living inspired is knowing that in this moment there is creativity available, there is the relationship to life ready at hand. This realization is readily available at all moments. It is the very essence being creative. Earth Heart Hum has helped me expand this within myself and it is my hope to share this inspiration with the world.

No Century is an attempt to capture sonic instincts. As a result, the music comes through as an expression of the present moment. The musicians lend themselves as instruments to allow the music to flow. The music then crafted into experiential form becomes a doorway into experiences of sonic bliss. As fleeting as the sensations may be the music offers exploration into sonic release allowing for ecstatic states.
In 2012, Ben Rowley and Samuel Romero began the No Century project. Their aim was to explore how free their musical expression could be. Crafting songs such as Four Doors, Glass Dream and Transhuman, the duo performed live looped and improvised versions of the songs. Momentum began to build. In 2013, long time collaborator in the preceding project Free City Collective, Theo Milloy rounded out No Century’s sound by adding creative & deep grooving bass. Around this time Carloyn Deady expressed interest in improvising vocally over the tunes. By June 2013 No Century had become a 4-piece and performed their first show together at the Biltmore Cabaret. That year No Century performed around Vancouver from Venue, the Woods Studio to the Electric Owl. Since then the group has been exploring their solo projects as well as, their collective project crafting a masterwork of their music. In 2016 No Century released their first EP “From the Void” after a long awaited process of arranging and recording. Working with long-time-trusted producer Cody Taylor who expertly captured the ever-evolving expression of No Century. To date, No Century has produced an extensive collection of songs all of which are constantly worked and re-worked until reaching their most powerful and creative expression. The ever-evolving group is exploring new dimensions of sound to bring to life and the world.
No Century is Samuel Romero on guitar, Ben Rowley on drums & keys, Theo Milloy on bass and Carolyn Deady on voice.
